The Second Story Loft
A Literary Oasis on Nantucket's Bustling Broad Street
The Second Story Loft is a brand new, luxury three bedroom loft above Nantucket Bookworks, overlooking Broad Street and all the fun below. In the height of the season, you'll be surrounded by restaurants, museums, and charming shops. In the off season you'll find a peaceful book-filled getaway for a restful or strategic retreat with space to entertain. With books galore in the apartment, you're bound to find inspiration when you visit. Let us help you plan your stay or event in this special place.
The loft is wonderfully spacious with a vaulted ceiling, lots of windows, an open plan living/dining/seating area and great views of Broad Street.
Three bedrooms sleep 6 in beds. A king bedroom and a queen bedroom are located on the main floor, both with en suite bathrooms. A loft bedroom with two twin beds is located up a spiral staircase. (how fun is that?!). A powder room and laundry closet are in the hallway at the foot of the stair.
Please contact us with your ideas - we are creative types and want this space to serve many a vision! We work with caterers, event planners, and others to create memorable experiences.

Aspiring writer? Our shelves are stocked with writer's reference materials. Perhaps you will be the next Melville, and we'd love to help.
Greetings - I'm Wendy Hudson and my family owns 25 Broad Street. I love books and beer, which has led me to own Nantucket Bookworks & Mitchell's Book Corner, and to be a co-founder of Cisco Brewers/Triple Eight Distiller/Nantucket Vineyard.
Along with my wonderful property manager Melanie Gowen, I oversee the two bookstore apartments. (Yes two--in addition to the Second Story Loft, we have a single bedroom apartment in the basement called "The Bookcellar".) I love sharing this fun life so please come visit. I look forward to meeting you, and be warned: I'm going to ask what you're reading. ;-)
